14 Billion Doesn’t Buy What It Used To The Big Dig

Bostons Big Dig
Listen to this article

There has been a catastrophe that occurred on July 10th in Bostons Big Dig although I am uncertain how much attention this story has gotten. Among the ceiling panels which are suspended from the tunnels of the biggest construction project in the Earth, the Big Dig, crushed a car murdering a girl inside and dropped. The panels are 20 x 20 and reports have said they weigh anywhere from 3 to 12 tons.

As it ought to be, this is a story in Massachusetts where I dwell. Clients are using this to their benefit to either make themselves seem better or another party appear worse. Everyone in this country is the victim, although the girl that died and her brand new husband are victimized, because it is all tax cash.

The invoice for the project is roughly billion at this stage. I am uncertain how much of that is federal cash but it is at the billions for certain. There have been leaks in this debacle and now the tunnels since it’s opened.

This project is, is a good instance of how badly our government is run on a lesser scale. It is no secret in Massachusetts of how much cash was wasted in this project. Governor Romney had to make a group responsible for trying to collect and chasing the contractors which were overpaid. The government’s narrative, which is obvious when you take a look in the 8 dollar shortage, you devote all you want and have no control and then try and fix it afterwards. This is the way things get so out of control. If things were done properly the project would have cost a couple billion less, they wouldnt have to pay people to regain another couple billion, and the job would have probably been done correctly.

However, we are back to reality. A girl has been killed. The number of ceiling tiles having problems is increasing together with the inspections. Was 200 tiles which are currently coming . Governor Romney had to document emergency legislation to take management of the decision on when the tube in question would be protected to reopen since the Chairman of the MA Turnpike Authority, Matt Amarello, has been stating it is safe and it certainly isnt over.

This particular story is very troublesome for me since I trying to open peoples eyes to how incompetent our authorities is from top to base and am constantly analyzing our authorities. I continue to make as strong of a case as I can for people to start seeing they will need to pay additional attention to who they vote for in upcoming elections. We cannot just allow the politicians to invest, spend, invest our cash with no consequences. It bothers me that our government contracts with China to build some of our weapons to guard our country. Yes, China, a communist country, accounts for constructing a few of the weapons that we use to safeguard the country in times of warfare.

So I request you, please don’t observe this accident in Massachusetts. It is more than that. It is proof that are virtually incompetent. They make decision after decision that is bad and the country’s taxpayers will be the ones that sufferfrom Use this as motivation to make better selections during another election. If you havent voted in elections because you didnt feel you had a candidate value your vote I would like to say you’re right. There wasnt a candidate deserving of your vote. However, in upcoming elections you want to produce an impression. Cast a vote. If you dont know who to vote for write down my own name. I know that I can do a better job.
