When talking temperature changes of only 1 degree the arguments for global warming can sound a bit vacuous. The Arctic ice cap animals’ effects is far more concrete.
Animals and The Melting Arctic Ice Cap
There is not much dispute that the Arctic ice cap is melting. Since 1979, it has definitively shrunk by 20 percent. The issue amongst most people debating with global warming is whether this is due to global warming or simply a natural cycle of the planet.
From a common sense viewpoint, it is challenging to imagine global warming has no effect on the ice caps. The temperature of this world would appear to be a sense reason for the melting ice. Unfortunately, nowadays, common sense seems to be used in debates.
As the cap melts, the effect on animals from the field is readily apparent. The main problem is the decrease of habitat. Polar bears are the animals. The polar bears’ design will be that the ice flow regions across the edges of the caps. The escapes yanking back into the extent that there is no ice on the shores and are disappearing as the caps melt. The magnitude of the melting is such that a Russian ship was able to reach the North Pole in 2005 without the usage of an ice breaker. The bears are being pushed by this habitat that is dropped . Many estimates put the complete population at 20,000 and falling.
There are, nevertheless, positive changes to some species. Empirical evidence shows the seal populations of the Arctic are demonstrating growing population numbers. The reason is uncertain, but they are appearing more and more in southern areas of this cap, which leads to the conclusion that their habitat is expanding.
Extensive brand new habitats for fish are opening up. The ice is filled with nourishment and fish migration into the new opening seas is astonishing. Pink salmon, specifically has been observed spawning in rivers far to the north of their spawning grounds.
Generally, the effect of the melting Arctic ice caps is a combined situation. The bears certainly dont see anything to be happy about.
