Let’s examine the three purposes of writing: to educate, amuse, and inform. To me, the second one is bottom of the record, though it’s instrumental in the accomplishment of the two others. Every terrific teacher knows this intimately and easily laces his teachings with relevant and interesting stories, and comedy.
The very first point, to notify, comes next in my thoughts, whereas the last, to inform, comes . To explain my attitude, I believe it appropriate to draw your attention to my book A REASON FOR LIVING, at which both purposes are pursued.
Part of the book relays theoretical or factual information about things like human anatomy, nutrition, along with also universal evolution. This information relates to the current perception of reality in scientific circles. I am just a car for this. But for two reasons, my role as a writer who informs his readers about scientific facts and theories comes next in my head to my role as a philosopher who tries to inform his readers.
My primary purpose is that I respect wisdom as overriding, whereas the understanding of the material world (i.e., the constituents, structure, and workings thereof) is not equally important, however useful it’s on a sensible level. Conscience comes before science, which itself is incapable of providing humans with a sense of what is good, correct, or holy at a term, with ethical principles. An example of science without conscience is that the devastation of nature and the breach of human rights by unscrupulous companies who are efficient in their use, or rather misuse, of their environment and their employees to fulfill their greed.
My other purpose is that my role as a writer who informs his readers about scientific facts and theories is really the a mere vehicle. It’s quite much secondary to the use of research workers, which drives the scientific enterprise thanks to innovative instrumentation plus skillful, technical, and smart observations and rationalizations.
By contrast, my role as a philosopher who tries to inform his readers is from the driver’s seat, so to speak. Not only is it worried about everything which makes life alive and gives people a sense of purpose, but also it does over mirror the light of wisdom; it creates it by way of believing on the basis of knowledge and research.
Truth to tell, my subscribers can likewise think for themselves. They can be philosophers and make their own wisdom while detecting and assessing mine. Hence, the light shining in my book is there to assist my readers see a range of weighty matters on which they can meditate to form their very own thoughtful remarks about them. And since they can do this, I venture to argue that they should.
